Round The Rocks

The woodlands south of Coolgardie offer a natural eucalypt bush experience, dissected by a narrow gauge rail system from the 1900’s, that provided timber for the emerging gold rush. Now in regeneration mode it is returning to its former glory. Granite rocklined catchments were impressively engineered to divert water into dams for the locomotives. This driving loop includes Coolgardie, Burra Rocks, Cave Hill, Widgiemooltha and Kambalda.
